GINNY SPEIRS was born in Alabama, United States. After a 26-year career, she is a well-known member of the Southern California art community. Her many single and group exhibits over the last 30 years include the primary art centers, galleries and museums of Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Santa Ynez where she now lives and works. Ginny Speirs achieved her BFA at
Converse college in South Carolina, MFA master’s degree at the University of Georgia with a studies abroad residence in Cortona,
Italy. Her artwork, in the true American regionalist tradition, encompasses the essential colors and natural forms of the
countryside and the up-close textures of its plant-life and personality of the farm animals and birdlife that characterize this
territory.
